I havent paid a single cent to HP franchise in ages. But I still find books cool. Should I disregard quality/fun aspect of something even if creator of that thing is a POS and I havent gave them any money in a very long time?

You can’t easily change what you enjoy, I would take what you like from it and explore other similar properties. If hp is something that has special meaning to you i get it, I would just hope you don’t support the creator.
