Whether it’s licensing, governance, AI contributions, codes of conduct, or whatever stupidity of the day that we have to deal with, where some asshole meekly serves forth a milquetoast argument reminding us to be open to commercial interests lest our software wither in obscurity, I think about shit like this.

I think about people who recoil at blanket suspicion and hostility toward companies in open source like #redhat, as if we’ve done some moral wrong in not opening our hearts to them, not being some Sesame Street vision of universal kindness and cooperativeness at all hours of the day. Fuck that. We need to get way, way harder when it comes to protecting what is ours.
