Major KnightOS news!

With the newly-pushed SDK version 2.1, and a few other fixes, the toolchain is finally fixed!

Only took me, uh, five years to get around to doing it

....and about fifteen minutes of work, faffing about with DNS, and debugging silly ancient bugs

I still have the plan9 ports to polish and merge with this, but, progress :)

@pixx

KnightOS, wots this, then? ;)

@rl_dane UNIX for TI calcs :P

@pixx

NO SHIZ MATE THAT'S BONZER!!!

1996

xkcd

@amin @pixx

That's a classic.

TI does have some nicer calcs, and has for decades, but they kept the exact same TI-89 on sale from 1989 until... ...unclear.

@rl_dane @pixx

"on sale" or "for sale"?

@amin @pixx

Huh! I never realized there was a difference. XD

For sale.

@rl_dane @pixx

“On sale” would be, like, “80% off” or whatever. “For sale” means it can be bought.

@amin @pixx

Yeah, I get that now. How obvious, and yet... XD

@rl_dane @amin @pixx

I have a TI 92, which is absolutely epic, if, a bit harder to carry around :P

@OpenComputeDesign @amin @pixx

Those came out in the early-mid 90s, right when I bought my beloved HP-48G (I wish I knew where it was... I probably donated it in 2013 along with a raft of older electronics 😢)

@rl_dane yeah but only does basic arithmetic so ehhhhh xD

@pixx

Well, if it's UNIX, you can extend it with shell scripts, right? :D

@rl_dane
It's also very incomplete :p
