Society: Have a full time job and do lots of overtime to get ahead. Get lots of sleep. Exercise regularly. Cook from scratch with fresh ingredients. Spend time with your kids. Maintain an active social circle. Stay connected with your extended family. Read books. Stay informed on issues & up to date with current affairs to be a responsible voter. Be active in your local community. Volunteer to do stuff for your kid's school. Pursue lifelong learning. Have hobbies.

(That wouldn't be enough to solve the problem, as this list is demanding essentially three full work weeks of us every week, but it would make it viable to even *try* half of it...)

...Also, I belatedly notice that this list doesn't even include maintaining one's house, hygiene, grocery shopping...

@pteryx Yeah, there's only so much space! And after the job part really I wanted to focus more on things we're told we should do, and indeed we mostly want to do, to be happier, healthier, etc, rather than on the stuff that's simply more demands on our time.
