"I am not sure why Melania Trump decided to make a statement about Jeffrey Epstein seemingly out of nowhere today, but if the idea was to put the ongoing coverup in the rearview mirror it will backfire spectacularly"

"Everybody should watch this insane presser. It's like a bad scene in a Netflix thriller right before shit is about to go down."

A Statement by First Lady Melania Trump

@_L1vY_ This feels to me like something that nobody was really talking about seriously before, and now they will be talking about it seriously.

So that means it's another distraction.

She says she's not a victim? That's great. Cool. We don't need to seek justice for her. We DO need to seek justice for the victims of her husband though, that much hasn't changed.

@roknrol @_L1vY_ I found it odd that Melania was calling for hearings for survivors. She understands that victims could share stories about her husband, right?

@RIJim Unless she knows that it would never happen, in which case she can call for whatever she wants just to look like she's on the right side. Although, even as I type it I recognize that that has never been her priority.

I could be wrong, about all of it. I know very little about her; I just know that she's a bad person because she enables bad people. And if she's not a victim, then she really isn't even part of the conversation.
