I got the tools. I got the new batteries. Now wish me luck for replacing the batteries of my 20+ year old iPods. A classic gen 6 and a 3rd gen Nano.

Given the propensity of Apple to "seal" things it must be an interesting ride to change the batteries of ipods (and I have a couple that at least one of them the battery is no longer in good condition)
@redravenspirit @jwildeboer the plastic faced ipods are quite easy to work on, but getting the aluminum ones open is way harder. Internally they are quite nice to repair
@timmy @redravenspirit the good thing is that iPods are ubiquitous and many good videos and manuals on how to fix them are available. And getting spare parts even after 20 years is not a real problem.
