OCR Releases Video on HIPAA Security Rule Risk Management Requirements
Earlier this year, Paula M. Stannard, Director of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office for Civil Rights (OCR), provided an update on The HHS’ Office for Civil Rights is expanding its risk analysis enforcement initiative to include risk management – reducing risks and vulnerabilities to ePHI to a reasonable and appropriate level. OCR has recorded a video explaining this important HIPAA requirement, along with examples of risk management violations from its investigations of data breaches.
