Just a reminder, if the war on Iran doesn't make sense to you, that's because you are not looking at it through a biblical framework. For Israel and the current U.S. leadership, this is a holy war.
Which is, of course, nuts. Using a biblical framework to operate in a real-world geopolitical environment will not result in victory.
