The wonderful PhET team at UC Boulder has released a new sim for the model of the hydrogen atom. There is a ton packed into this...I need to take time to look through it for next year.
Andy Napper@brianb Very cool! I love using the PhET simulations in all of my 1000-level classes. I'll have to play around with this one in preparation for this fall’s gen-chem quantum lectures. I'm glad you shared this!
@QuantumDot2 Yeah, I started messing around a little and I think I'm going to use it to help the de Broglie/Schrodinger connection to move away from particle representations to the quantum models.
@brianb I really like the de Broglie animations of the standing waves - really cute and much better than my attempt to draw them! Thank you again for posting about this sim. It's definitely a gem
