I’m currently on my way to Germany to attend #HYDE, a recreational #hypnosis conference that’s happening this weekend. I’m traveling with @Frank_NL, who is eager to serve me during the event. This event will be very similar to the #Spellbound event that we attended last year, and I’m looking forward to seeing many of the lovely people that I met there last year!

I’m one of the presenters for #HYDE this year; my talk is called “Building Confidence for Novice Hypnotists”. I really hope it will go well! I’ve done my “Intro to Hypnosis” talk so many, many times over the past few years — this is the first time in a *while* that I’ve done a talk that is intended for people who already know the basics of #hypnosis, and are looking to level up their skills.
I’m also running a Lightning Talks event at #HYDE, which I have high hopes for! A “lightning talk” is a presentation that is strictly limited to 5 minutes; they are typically done back-to-back by a series of different presenters. The time limit forces presenters to condense their thoughts, which usually results in a better, more dynamic presentation — and even when it doesn’t go as well as you hope, at least it’s done in 5 minutes! ⚡️
I admit that I’m a bit anxious about attending #HYDE. Last year’s #Spellbound event was emotionally difficult for me, and I’m guessing that I’ll have similar issues at HYDE. I’m so accustomed to being the “most knowledgeable person in the room” when it comes to #hypnosis, and being in a setting where many others know much more than me was… confronting. But growing as a person is not always easy, and I want to lean into this experience.
@HairyHypnotist i'm sure you will be awesome and that those attending will get a lot out of your experience. How can they not love you 😁
@leedsboy Aww, thank you for the kind words! 😘
