I've spent the morning digging in @ExhibitExplorer. Current status:

* #DigitalNZ are working on tuning their cloudfront setup to be happy with (legit) bot traffic again.

* The Met Museum added rate limiting that went from "please keep it under 80 request per second" to a currently undocumented enforcement that's closer to 60/minute. But with some backoff/retry added, that's working again.

* The #Rijksmuseum has completely removed the APIs I was using, and, most annoyingly, changed their record identifiers in an incompatible way. While I could write a thing to do a migration, given this is pretty low-stakes I might just change to the new one and zap the old records and start it over.

Let's see how far I get before my laptop battery runs out, then it's time to go do something else like read a book.

OK, I didn't get around to the book, but the #Rijksmuseum should be reindexing and back publishing soon on @ExhibitExplorer so that's something - took an afternoon of futzing around with OAI-PMH and XPath to get stuff out of it, but it seems to be working now.
