I have great respect for the journalistic work y'all do, which is why it pains me to write this email.

I've cancelled my recurring GoFundMe donation until such time as you sign a fair contract with your unionized employees. Additionally, that contribution will be redirected to the ProPublica Guild's strike fund. This recurring donation to the guild will remain active regardless of what comes next.

It's truly bizarre to me that I have to write this. Please get your house in order so I can continue supporting your work with a reasonable level of confidence that our values do, in fact, align.

I told them that I was about to subscribe, until I heard how they were treating their workers, and I would not subscribe unless and until they canceled their use of AI and signed a Union contract.
