This is important because, yes, Trump is underwater in the polls right now. But so are Democrats, who are historically unpopular even with their own voters.
The last Democratic presidential candidate flopped across the finish line, having alienated voters and hemorrhaged support across the board.
So obviously people don't believe they will be better after all.
Hey, remember during the campaign when Harris called Iran the United States' greatest adversary?
I wonder what she would have done in Trump's place.
Nah. We all know.

Democrats, famous for pivoting, haven't pivoted at all. It's the same empty message over and over again, only with more blame for voters.
It hasn't helped that Congressional Democrats effectively laid down and let Trump walk all over them. On the rare occasion we get signs of life, they're actively helping him!
Maybe people don't want "ethically sourced Republican policies" or a worldview that treats entire groups of people as liabilities because they annoy white conservative donors.
The Democratic mindset that they can take marginalized voters for granted and still win elections no matter how far right they go has been flatly proven wrong.
And yet!
It's not 1992 anymore. You can't shit on your own voters and expect them to show up anyway, especially when nothing seems to appreciably change.
And at this point, we're not talking about one group of voters, we're talking about all of them. Literally everyone who isn't white and wealthy get told to drop dead.
Ultimately if there's any hope for the US, Sanders and AOC should jump on an independent campaign cuz it's literally the only hope.
If the water is tainted you find a new well.
