One of my favorite moments of artistic creation is this scene right here.

This is the inception of the character "Jennifer," who would go on to have a whole plot arc of her own. She's the one going off frame on the left.

Tawny Newsome (voice actor, Beckett Mariner, the character on the right) was improv'ing the sounds of going through a corridor rapidly and she just belted out "MOVE, JENNIFER!" on the fly. The animation team, given that audio, decided to play and rolled with it, creating a Jennifer for her to move.

Fans caught it, learned the whole story from behind-the-scenes interviews with the cast, and started to geek out about this mysterious "Jennifer," which prompted the writers to give her something to do. Lauren Lapkus got cast into her voice role and the rest is history.

Sometimes, creation isn't controlled. Art happens in the spaces between people who may never meet each other. That's something very human being passed from person to person completely indirectly through sound and light and word, and that's beautiful.
