I finally removed Windows and went with Linux (Mint). This pic is me playing with the brushes and layer overlays in Krita. I was originally hanging onto Clip Studio but I think I like Krita just as much, if not more, and it has all the same capabilities. Krita now has comic paneling tools and a CSP-like paint fill that follows reference layers (in addition to the colorize mask function)

The only thing I'm missing is Nightshade/Glaze, which doesn't have Linux support.

@amorphophalex maybe you can use Nightshade/Glaze through Proton (with Heroic Game launcher or Lutris). Idk if you are familiar with this or if someone can help you with :D but you can run windows app and game with that !

I can give it a shot! I tried it in Bottles but it didn't want to work there.

@amorphophalex mmh :/ i tried with Heroic Launcher, didn't work either. Maybe it need depedencies like PyTorch or something else

don't know anything else, I quickly read that they allow sign-ins manually for human-proofing it

Anyone got Nightshade to work in Linux?

Oh man, I can’t believe what a different experience we had, haha. Bummer you had to jump through so many hurdles but I’m glad you got it working 😅 I wonder if it’s mainly the GPU difference that made my experience so painless? I’ve had my share of nvidia-related issues in Linux over the years – this is my first AMD card and so far it’s been so hassle-free. In any case… thanks for documenting all this!
