#Gospel Reading: #John 20:19-31

John recounted how #Jesus appeared to His #disciples in the #resurrection

Jesus entered their locked room in the evening.

He showed them His wounds; they were exceedingly glad to see Him.

As the Father had sent Him, He would send them out.

He breathed on them to receive the Holy Spirit: the sins of those whom they would forgive would be forgiven, and the sins of those whom they would retain would be retained.

Thomas was not present, and when told of the appearance of Jesus, declared he would only believe if he could touch Jesus' wounds.

Eight days later Jesus appeared to the disciples again, this time with Thomas present; Jesus invited Thomas to touch His wounds, and believe.

Thomas declared Jesus as his Lord and his God.

Jesus declared he believed because he saw and pronounced blessings on those who did not see and yet believed.

John then testified how Jesus did many other things not recorded in his Gospel; what is presented has been done so those who read would believe Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and have life in His name.
Are we maybe too hard on "doubting #Thomas"?
