So many posts lately about Trump mention dementia, as if the world is at the mercy of a single out-of-control madman.

I don't think that's it. I think Trump is the misdirection. He may well be experiencing cognitive decline. But he has a whole machine of vested interests behind him, profiting from the disarray.
