@iFixit i would add "SOLVENT 50" as the perfect chemical to remove this planned obsolescence-feature from soft touch surfaces which transitioned into fullblown-black-plastic-sludge.
@blazr @dec23k @iFixit Any specific suggestions for how to remove the sticky surface from a Moog Sub37 mod wheel? Should I take it apart first? I’m concerned about debris falling down into the case.
@bbelton from my experience it is always a nicer result if you clean the parts separately, so disassemble first, then clean. especially if there a small sub-2-mm gaps.
