Things you can say to immediately mobilize large sections of the Fedi:
• “I think I might be a girl.”
• “I can’t make sound work on Linux.”
• “What kind of bug is this?”
• “I want to learn how to play the bass guitar.”

Yup, that second one is true!
I am not at all computer savvy, and a brand-new user of Linux. I got Linux installed by a computer tech and brought my computer home, and the first thing I wanted to do was connect my speakers so I could listen to an audiobook while I ate supper, and AARGH! Help! I posted the problem here, and a person from the other side of the world kindly spent 20 minutes walking me through troubleshooting steps and got my speakers up and running! Such helpfulness from one total stranger to another!
