You ever spend like a year and a half trying to make an app as polished as you possibly can and then you turn your head and see this?
@BenRiceM That’s pretty terrible

@BenRiceM in my opinion, this is one of the biggest issues with 26. literally everything has a little sprinkling of “eh, fuck it. good enough.”

more than any prior year, i reckon.

@jelly 100%. The issue is not “Liquid Glass looks bad”

It’s that these issues were completely predictable, evident from the start, and leadership decided to plow ahead anyway

It reminds me of the Monty Python bit about building a castle on a swamp. Anyone could tell you it’s a bad idea and exactly how it will fail. To do it anyway is just hubris
@BenRiceM but the fourth one stayed up!
@BenRiceM @jelly The issue is not “Liquid Glass looks bad”; the issue is “Liquid Glass works bad” 😉
@BenRiceM boggles the mind. I suppose on their part, they don't need it to look good - people will still use it
@BenRiceM and somehow they still have the gut to deliver Design Awards
@BenRiceM Tangentially, I discovered Wolf Alice two weeks ago. It’s been a nice discovery!
@BenRiceM impeccable music taste though
@BenRiceM Nooooo you can’t put grey text on glass. I’m a believer that Liquid Glass *can* look good but that’s such a basic mistake, and has been this way since transparent materials way before iOS 26 😭
@BenRiceM Speaking of, any ETA on Indigo release?
@pinkoos Still waiting on Apple to approve our new developer account so hard to say
