This painting used to hang in my mother’s apartment, on the railing of a small balcony. Her huge rubber tree framed it beautifully—and covered up half of it. But that wasn’t a problem, because for some reason I was never really happy with this painting. When my mother moved, I got the painting back, and right now I’m in the process of painting over it.
