@bencourtice beautiful downtown Moyston ? What is the grass ? Dominant quadruped ? Has this been burnt recently ? Are you staying overnight ?

@crn114 2 days on the Dunkeld-Penshurst Rd where they have scalped some of the worst Phalaris patches & re-sown. We were spraying the areas around them that were not bad enough to scalp, but still weedy. This roadside will be spectacular next spring/summer, Themeda grassland, recently burnt, full of wildflowers. We were accomodated at Dunkeld. A quiet and fairly minor tourist trap. Beautiful redgums abound ("the candles of Dunkeld" as Lunt called them)

@bencourtice The south facing trunks of those elderly redgums are often sites of biodiversity cryptogamwise.

@crn114 I bet. This is the wetter end of the plains (and of Gariwerd). Soil cryptogams not yet much apparent but we will look out for them on subsequent trips.
