South Korea targets 20% of power mix from renewable sources by 2030

South Korea has announced its objective to reach a solar and wind capacity of 100 GW by 2030, aiming to cover at least 20% of its power generation with renewable sources (Yonhap News Agency, 06/04/2026). In 2025, the share of renewables on South Korea’s total energy generation accounted for 11.4%.
