Arezzo, 8 apr. - (Adnkronos) - Un 30enne aretino è stato condannato a 4 anni e sei mesi di reclusione per aver staccato con un morso un pezzo della lingua alla compagna, al culmine di una lite. L'episodio risale alla notte tra il 14 e il 15 giugno 2025, in piazza Guido Monaco, nel centro di Arezzo. Secondo quanto ricostruito nel corso delle indagini, l'uomo, durante un litigio, avrebbe morso la fidanzata 29enne mentre la baciava, provocandole una grave mutilazione. Il frammento di lingua fu recuperato da un'amica presente e trasportato in ospedale insieme alla donna.
La vittima, che al momento dell'aggressione era incinta, venne soccorsa dal 118 e sottoposta a un intervento chirurgico d'urgenza all'ospedale San Donato, dove i medici riuscirono a riattaccare la parte amputata, avviando un percorso terapeutico reso più complesso dalla gravidanza.
L'imputato, attualmente detenuto nel carcere di Prato, era accusato di lesioni gravissime e maltrattamenti, emersi nell'ambito di una relazione caratterizzata – secondo l'accusa – da tensioni e violenze, anche legate all'assunzione di sostanze. Inizialmente denunciato dai carabinieri, era stato arrestato su richiesta della Procura di Arezzo per il rischio di reiterazione del reato.
Il processo, iniziato il 4 novembre 2025, si è svolto con rito abbreviato per il reato più grave, con conseguente riduzione della pena. Il pubblico ministero aveva chiesto una condanna a cinque anni di reclusione. In aula erano presenti sia l'imputato sia la vittima, che nel frattempo ha dato alla luce un figlio riconosciuto dal padre. La donna, costituitasi parte civile, aveva già espresso in precedenza sentimenti di perdono e la speranza in un cambiamento dell'uomo. Il Tribunale ha disposto anche una provvisionale di 25mila euro in favore della vittima. Al termine dell'udienza, il trentenne è stato ricondotto in carcere. Nella precedente udienza aveva chiesto scusa, dichiarando di aver intrapreso un percorso di recupero.

Arezzo, April 8 – (Adnkronos) – A 30-year-old man from Arezzo was sentenced to 4 years and 6 months imprisonment for biting off a piece of his girlfriend’s tongue during a fight, at the climax of an argument. The incident occurred on the night between June 14 and 15, 2025, in Piazza Guido Monaco, in the center of Arezzo. According to investigations, the man bit his 29-year-old girlfriend while kissing her during a dispute, causing a serious injury. A fragment of the tongue was recovered by a friend who was present and transported to the hospital along with the woman.
The victim, who was pregnant at the time of the attack, was rescued by the 118 (Italian emergency medical service) and underwent an urgent surgical procedure at the San Donato Hospital, where doctors were able to reattach the amputated piece, initiating a therapeutic path made more complex by the pregnancy.
The defendant, currently detained in the prison of Prato, was accused of aggravated assault and mistreatment, which emerged in a relationship characterized – according to the prosecution – by tensions and violence, also related to the use of substances. Initially reported by the Carabinieri (Italian military police), he was arrested at the request of the Arezzo Public Prosecutor’s Office due to the risk of repeating the crime.
The trial, which began on November 4, 2025, was conducted using a shortened procedure for the most serious crime, resulting in a reduced sentence. The prosecutor requested a sentence of five years imprisonment. Both the defendant and the victim were present in court, by which time the woman had given birth to a child recognized by his father. The woman, who had become a party in the civil case, had previously expressed feelings of forgiveness and hope for a change in the man. The court also ordered a provisional payment of 25,000 euros in favor of the victim. At the end of the hearing, the 30-year-old was returned to prison. In a previous hearing, he had apologized, stating that he had begun a recovery program.
