Divine D Rev. 1.1: MainPCB Layout Complete.
The layout phase has wrapped and the boards are now in production.

Besides the changes previously mentioned here (https://docs.dawndrums.tn/blog/dd-rev1.1-arch), what's more making it into this revision:

- RK3172 LoRa module
- LG77L as a standalone GNSS receiver
- Three chip antenna for WiFi, Bluetooth and GNSS, with high efficiency
- Mechanical optimizations for a more compact 5.5" design.

More updates once the fab house delivers.

@dawndrums

Is there are reason for

  • M.2 B-key GSM and 4G module
  • This reads like there'd be a problem with using a 5G module?

    @me The requirements of 5G connectivity are technically demanding at the moment. This includes power consumption, number of antennas, module size, etc. Supporting it for the current hardware would add a layer of complexity to the current development rodmap, which is already packed. Nonetheless, as we move forward, we always revisit features for their value to our community.

    @dawndrums Thanks for the answer and for the great project!

    I hope we'll get a Linux mobile phone that'll support all features 🙃 .

    Just in case - the modem I put for testing inside a Librem5 is SIM8202G.

    If you're interested in testing - let me know 😉 …
