@AnguaDelphine We ended up with a conservative leader running under the Liberal banner because the ultra-conservative leader under the Conservative banner is a mini-Trump. This is our "lesser of two evils" from a de facto two-party system.

Sorry, I get it now, same problem.

Party names mean nothing these days; indeed break our old Trades Description Act (only applies to business transactions now).
I blame the concept of the Overton Window.

We are fighting the 2 party gonads; the right is nicely split but being a nuisance, the centre is too far right for comfort and the left is all over the place.
Technically we are a 5 main party system, excluding Welsh & Scots Nats and Northern Ireland which has its own parties anyway.
Actually with Quebec & now your home, VERY similar actually.
