for a friend (literally, don't worry about me) who is not a tech person, whose gov is threatening to ramp up censorship in a massive way, and who depends on international websites for both biz & entertainment

trying to find any beginner explainers/setup guides on stuff like:

- what options are available if VPNs are getting blocked & sites are also blocked at the ISP or CDN level

- what fingerprinting/DPI is, how you would go about using wireguard related tech

all of the ideas I've got personally relate to data privacy, in case devices are searched. for example: register a separate email and file drive service with something like tutamail, store anything sensitive there, then only access those via a partition, or something like Tails OS

but I have no idea a) if those services would still work with all the planned blocking/blacklisting or b) how to get around that stuff in this situation
