Augie RayI do understand why people fail to understand the importance of masking. Last week, I visited my barber for the first time since November, since I won't go during surges. My barber worked 40 hours a week all winter in an environment I wouldn't visit for 30 minutes, and she didn't get sick that she knows of. It's hard for people to grasp risks that are invisible and seem remote (but accumulate over time.)
MillardPhillmore@augieray this is me. Always healthy, never sick. Just lucky genetics and societal privileges I've been dealt. I never once had sick symptoms from covid in 2020-2024. The thing that has helped me understand is stories, of those close to me and people like you. Failing to understand is different than being ignorant once you are informed. Thank you for posting.
