Augie RayI do understand why people fail to understand the importance of masking. Last week, I visited my barber for the first time since November, since I won't go during surges. My barber worked 40 hours a week all winter in an environment I wouldn't visit for 30 minutes, and she didn't get sick that she knows of. It's hard for people to grasp risks that are invisible and seem remote (but accumulate over time.)

Thinking Fast And Slow, Don't Think About It, Black Swan are all pop sci books about why humans are evolutionarily unequipped to deal with invisible threats like climate crisis and COVID. It's been my whole damn career on this!
