I guess we won't have to imagine for very long before we get to see photos of Earthshine taken from cislunar space.
Sometimes the future is good.
Edit: if they can figure out the right camera settings to capture it, anyway. They're saying they're having a hard time capturing what they see with their eyes. Any photo will pale in comparison to really seeing it, though.
I cannot deal with how insanely cool it is that the #Artemis2 crew are seeing meteor impact flahes on the surface of the Moon, a thing we presumably *anticipated* them being possibly able to do since this eclipse is a planned mission event.
I believe the kids call this "aura farming"
It's fascinating how much of the Science desk's inquiries to the Integrity crew involves asking them for subjective evaluations of their observations
I mean, what else would they really be asking for, right?
But it's a nice reminder that for as technologically sophisticated as we are, a human observer is still a very *flexible* observing platform (as long as you ask quickly!)
