@cbuddenhagen Yeah - absolutely! That’s pretty much my lecturing style. Though to be fair (to me!) zoology is difficult to teach in any other way…unless we can do dissections and field observations of all the species we cover!
So I think the other side of this is that the expectation from universities and students is that we are teachers when in fact we aren’t really teachers but more like masters or sages in the phrase you used!
