Last weekend i talked to my marxist uncle, who is 87, and we both agreed that we live in a horrible time, but that we have to keep up the fight. He said, he has been doing this for almost 70 years, and even if the results have not been great, there is no reason to stop now.

So much respect for our movement elders. We really need to find a way not to create an ageist climate.

I sat in group with a bunch of elder activists tonight. We all are struggling with wanting to do now what we would have done 20 years ago. So much needs done right now and some of it we can't do. To me, it seems easier to accept limitations when it isn't a situation where so much is hitting the fan all at once.
