When voters are given a choice between voting for a Republican, or a Democrat who acts like a Republican, they’ll vote for the Republican every time.
—Harry Truman

History shows that voters are equally uninterested in Republicans who act like Democrats.

That America was designed as a two-party state is not a popular truth. … The reason is because in America we have regional “winner take all” types of elections, rather than proportional representation where the group with, say, 30 percent of the vote, would end up with 30 percent of the seats in government. It’s a critical flaw built into our system…

@janhoglund It was ostensibly not designed as a two party system but the people who designed it were warned in advance that it would devolve into a two party system and chose to ignore the warnings for reasons that seem extremely silly in hindsight.
@janhoglund Also instead of a parliamentary system in people can vote for whichever party they want & the. the MPs compromise to form a governing coalition, here due to the spoiler effect we force the voters to do the compromising and pick 1 of the 2 permanent governing coalitions. It’s too much to ask of regular folks; many people refuse.

@janhoglund

When voters are given the chance to vote for Kamala Harris or Donald Trump, and 77 million choose Trump and 90 million choose to stay home, the problem is they're morons, not that they're in a two party system.

That anyone thinks that Kamala acts like a Republican speaks to how well indoctrinated leftists have become. Kamala's voting record in the Senate was the second most liberal and her votes almost perfectly aligned with their Lord and savor Bernie.
