I’ve been doing the FODMAPs thing and I’m realizing I have literally no food sensitivities except lactose, so if I’m very careful to take a lactase pill anytime I have a suspicion of cheese, all of my gut issues map to my anxiety 1 to 1. I don’t have IBS. I have anxiety. Bruh.
This is great to know but also a pain because: now what? In what world am I gonna be able to stop feeling anxious anytime soon? I guess I could try hypnosis like my dietitian suggested.
@alex I'm lactose intolerant too, but I realized my reactions are manageable if I take fiber and take care of my microbiome. That said I also highly recommend hypnosis if you know someone good. It helped me a lot with anxiety in the past but it's not permanent.
@catbrainz good to know it works, tbh I’m very skeptical of hypnosis but people I trust say it worked for them so…
