I need help with anybody from continental Europe in trying to find, vet, and contact any clinics/hospitals/colorectal surgeons that would take on a Canadian patient to do a ventral rectopexy which is apparently a surgery Canada doesn't do??? This is so I wouldn't have to go to the States, and also if there's a faster turnaround time since I've been suffering for over a year

Any personal knowledge (asking people/family/doctors/connections you know/personal experience) would be helpful too

you can DM me for more details of my symptoms

I've been able to get into contact with surgeons in the US, UK (though I could still use more help in the UK), Australia and NZ, but Europe is a bit of a puzzle for me, I don't know which countries I should be looking in or the private/public systems, etc

@ami_angelwings
I find 2 hospitals nearby describing the procedure

https://yperman.net/zorgaanbod/behandelingen-en-onderzoeken/laparocopische-ventrale-rectopexie
And

https://www.mariamiddelares.be/public/6052-3312-Laparoscopische-ventrale-rectopexie.pdf

I know some/many hospitals in Belgium take ‘foreign’ patients.

Maybe this info can help you.

Laparoscopische ventrale rectopexie (behandeling rectumprolaps)

De term ‘rectopexie’ verwijst naar een ingreep waarbij de endeldarm (rectum) terug opgehangen wordt in zijn normale anatomische positie.

This information helps a lot though
