@mdsumner that, and a bit strange that multi-tens-of-billion dollar space mission relies on astronauts commenting about "brownish hues" of the albedo with their bare eyes. Next time maybe we'll get H,S,V values from a digital sensor ?

@EvenRouault @mdsumner My sense is that we have plenty of high-resolution mapping of the Moon thanks to LRO and other satellites. I doubt that these images are scientifically all that valuable. This is more about science popularisation/propaganda than actual science.
