@rail I was so disappointed on my first amtrak trip to canada that they didnt print me out a ticket since they just used my phone

every time since then i've had them print one for me
I tell them its because my phone is slow and unreliable but mostly I just want the paper ticket

@ielenia I used to get all my tickets digitally out of convenience because I lived far from any train infrastructure so I didn't want to take chances buying them right before travel

Now I have easy access to ticket offices and I'm generally far less stressed about travels so I casually grab them on paper if viable 🤙
