shameful junk

this is commercial UX posturing 101 that amounts to the complaint that generative AI positivity does not get engagement on mastodon.

"community", "inclusivity", "bring more voices", "marginalised communities"

the problem?

Mastodon lacks an algorithmic feed that boosts AI positivity posts

@fasterandworse

By and large, there's a reason why the people who are on Mastodon are on Mastodon instead of one of the other platforms. So obviously there will be differences in what plays well on Mastodon and what does not, simply because the audience here is different.

If you go into a biker bar and try to start a debate on Kant's moral imperative only to be met with silence, that's not because the biker bar is an echo chamber; it's because you failed to read the room.

@skjeggtroll @fasterandworse I'm just a guy with a few hundred followers, but I acknowledge that on Mastodon I usually feel like I'm talking to myself. Could be that my posts just aren't interesting enough, but I stay despite the lack of engagement. People are much nicer here, but mostly I stay for the cat photos. πŸ™‚
