@liaizon the core problem is that the software he wrote is premised on the idea of puppylovers and puppykillers both being able to join the network, and giving people tools so that they dont have to see the puppykillers, even though they are active on the network
@laurenshof the community building primitives we have are not enough for the structures we need. I don't think they exist here nor on any other protocol based social thing. eugen spent the last decade trying to build something with the tools and knowledge he had available that has done so much to show the viability of decentralized social infrastructures. what type of speech we prioritize shapes the communities that settle. the puppykillers are happily using "our" tech and will continue to do so
