@davidgerard Incidentally I was talking to relatives yesterday and one relative, a career journalist, was complaining about the trauma of using social media because of all the genAI swamping everything, and how it's done enormous damage to independent journalism.

I made a point of recommending the Fediverse as one of the few places where tech critics of genAI weren't being silenced.
