Graff mural in Sydney in support of the squatted community of Prosfygika in Athens, Greece, which is under threat of eviction.
The once abandoned buildings of Prosfygika were squatted in 2011 and the residents organized various initiatives including collective bakeries, collective kitchens, a children's shelter, a structure for self-education as well as health structures which provide for the needs of the residents and wider community.
So far, the community has managed to resist and defend its ground and its inhabitants four times over the last ten years, and is currently organizing to defend itself against what it describes as the fifth and largest state attack, which would result in the eviction and redevelopment of the neighbourhood.
