@gimulnautti even reading Wealth of Nations in isolation demonstrates Smith had a strong sense of social responsibility.
But fundamentally the work must be considered an analysis, not an instruction book.
That is why it is extremely dangerous to selectively quote from a philosopher who was never guilty of using one word when 100 would do.
