Das deutsche EUDI-Wallet (Sprind) setzt auf Google Play Integrity und Apple App Attest zur Geräteverifizierung – beides proprietäre Attestierungsdienste der jeweiligen Plattformhersteller. Nach heutigem Dokumentationsstand ist für Android ein Aktivierungspfad vorgesehen, der Google Play Integrity voraussetzt. Ein degoogletes Android ohne Google-Play-Komponenten fällt damit voraussichtlich raus. Was das in der Praxis bedeutet: Kein Custom-ROM, kein entsperrter Bootloader, kein degoogeltes Android. Der digitale EU-Ausweis – ein staatliches Identitätsmittel – hängt damit strukturell von Google und Apple ab. Ob das im Sinne digitaler Souveränität ist, darf jeder selbst beurteilen. @EUCommission and yet you are championing ways for known, powerful pedophiles (0 arrests, 0 trials with more evidence than has ever been obtained in child abuse and trafficking cases) to track our childrens' every move, linked to their government IDs and their parents', so they can find the most vulnerable kids and abuse them. Tangible benefits for citizens while making it easier to kidnap their children? You are handing the location, IDs, and mental state of vulnerable children to abusers.

@AAMfP, it's understandable that @EUCommission supports sharing where people are.

But the very weak EU support for legitimate world-wide, decentralized platforms is really concerning 🤔 As if EU would be only a vassal of USA that is now allowed by the "Daddy" to do it's own things. I love EU, but even I consider this pathetic. Our European ambition is bigger than that and EC should reflect that.

Ehi EU what about fighting the lobbies that use money trying to curb the EU laws in their favor ?

What about saying that schools cannot use commercial platforms from Google, Meta etc (protect the children, isn't it?) and quickly funding and creating a european stack based on open source software (public money > public code).

What about creating an official mastodon istance e.g.,where we can follow/interact with the parliamentarians without using US platforms that do not respect privacy etc ?
