I think that part of the problem with drawing hands is that we have an idea of what they look like, but when we really look, they don’t look that way at all in most cases. There are lumps & bumps & weird curves & wrinkles & blemishes…
I’m very new to thinking of myself as someone who draws & paints, so I’m finding all of this fascinating.
I did a 5 week introductory art class, a different medium (or few) each week. I found it a little frustrating, such a brief dabble with each one, but still interesting.
I started out with a set of 72 Derwent coloured pencils. This was before I let myself think that I could possibly be good enough at art yo warrant investing time, effort & money in anything else. But it was a gateway medium… 😂
