Fediverse #music #synthesizer players, I need your kind help ❤️

I haven't played for 10 years (on a #Yamaha PSR435) and want to get back to it.

I'm a modest player. I love rock, ballads, 90s music... I can play chords, but if melody is too rich, I can't play both 😅

A local reseller showed my the #Roland JD-Xi, looks great, but I'm afraid it will be too "electronic music" oriented, and that it might allow to make #samples and #loops but not actually play the music?

What would you recommend to play (and maybe record) chords (chords looper?), potentially record actual parts of a melody (like record 1 voice and play the other)?

Thanks a lot!

@gaufff if you come frorm "old stuft" I recommend to use old stuft...I restartet after 35 years, compaired my old gears to new gears....and I''m very happy about to own the old instruments.
@Neurotransmitter thank you! My only frustration is that recording and replaying/looping is extremely slow (saving takes more than 30 secs) and cumbersome (old menus don't feel user friendly to me) 😅
@gaufff what noises do you sample??...my DDS1 has 256 KB sample RAM...👌
