Flipboard’s Surf, which I first wrote about in 2024, is finally available without an invite as a web and Android app. (iOS still has a waitlist.) Great read! To be honest, I had somewhat grown tired of both Bluesky and Mastodon (certainly not going back to Txitter) but Surf is truly a refreshing take on social media. I love how it brings together the best aspects of those two platforms, along with TL cleansers from apps I use daily such as YouTube and YouTube Music.

Rather than a simple feeling of "newness", I think Surf will appeal to a wide audience. I'm also thankful that the mobile app came to Android first!😜
