@oscarjiminy That's what the US has been doing for half a century, with rare exceptions. And the correct phrase to describe that is "losing wars of our own choosing".
The US has been growing generations of loser generals and admirals and politicians who don't even know what winning might be. All they know how to do is spend money and kill people. Then the totally unqualified people like Hegseth start spouting nonsense about "lethality" as if that's anything like a substitute for achieving our strategic national goals.
Smart leaders win without excess killing.
Idiots gloat in killing and don't realize that they've lost.
