AmyFou 🕊️All that's left are buttons and buttonholes, and I'm honestly pretty proud of this one. Banded collar, plackets and cuffs on set-in sleeves; otherwise quite simple and mostly square. And it fits @jivens !
Anne Ominous@rustoleumlove thank you I also hate them but wanted to prove to myself that I could follow pattern instructions well enough to do them! I would love to know more about your secret method if you're willing to share because I have no need to ever make a placket again (that I am aware of)
lol ok...
i basically make something very much like a cuff, then serge it onto the end of the sleeve (used to just sew it on).
i used to put a button on the cuff too, but i stopped doing that.
the B&W cuff is the 1st time i tried it. instead of plackets i just didn't sew the entire arm closed, put on the cuff and added a button.
then i stopped with the buttons, and just sewed the sleeve all the way closed to the end, and attacked the cuff.
