Overview The Town of Saint Matthews is a town located within and the county seat of Calhoun County, South Carolina, in the United States of America. Today, the community is associated with much of the rural county and is home to the Calhoun County Museum, bordering Congaree National Park in Richland County to the north. The community is located along Routes 601 and 6, though Route 176 is located nearby and forms Wertz Crossroads with Route 601 further south.
