Cows get beef and pigs get pork, but chicken is just chicken.
What's the deal?
Tito Swineflu@SecularJeffrey usually it's because of french and German versions of the word. For chicken, we have poultry from the french and the word "pullet" which has lost popularity in the last 100 years.
